Hi, Are these addresses for only residential units? Or these addresses include commercial units as well. Thank you.
This dataset reflects properties as determined by property owner, so apartments, leased spaces, etc., may be rolled up under one master property address, depending on the owner. Condos will typically contain individual unit numbers since they are separately owned.
Are the X,Y coordinates UTM coordinates (for zone 10 in the Northern Hemisphere)?
The X,Y Coordinates are Oregon State Plane North (HARN 83 International Feet) values.
Richard, thanks for the information on the coordinates. We've made a new version of the dataset, and placed into the public domain, that has the HARN 83 coordinates converted to WGS84 lat/lng coordinates which can be used with Google or Bing maps. Developers can access this augmented dataset at our open data site (opengeocode.org): http://www.opengeocode.org/cude/cude/cities/pdxaddr-wgs84.csv
I am building an example for my Intro to GIS class to be taugh in the spring 2013 and would like to use the pdxaddr-wgs84.csv as part of a lab. Is that possible? John M. Hi John -- No problem. Feel free to use it. Thanks, --Rick Nixon Program Manager, eGov, City of Portland, Oregon
