Application to keep citizens posted on all the resolutions before City Council. The purpose is to provide information and transparency into the legislative process in the City.

The app would allow people to track resolutions on their calendar applications. For example, a Google Gadget could integrate with the Google Calendar.

One approach would be to develop python script that runs as a cron job, automatically generating a google calender with the timeline and details for resolutions before City Council. The gData Google Api is available, but is there a City of Portland dataset that includes the resolution schedule?

Depending on the data available from City Hall, the app could also identify related information about each resolution, such as supporting interest groups. Social Networks could be integrated via Google's OpenSocial Api.
